  8. The XAD is for file extraction from archives! It can be compared to XFD
  9. system, which is for single file decrunching. They do different work,
  10. but are used together often.
  11.  
  12. This is a library providing an interface for unarchiving all possible
  13. types of file or disk archives. It is NOT an archiver GUI or anything
  14. like that. This system does the COMPLETE unarchiving stuff with internal
  15. routines, NOT calling shell programs or using other programs to do the
  16. work!

  18. The interface can be built by application programs like included shell
  19. utilities. It provides same features and interface for ALL types of
  20. supported archivers. E.g. virus checkers could use this system to do
  21. very comfortable background archive checking.

  23. This software is Shareware. See conditions in documentation file.

  28. - Added ZAP client done by Stuart Caie.
  29. - Added MSA client done by Stuart Caie.

  31. - Added "CAB" and "CAB MS-EXE" developed by Stuart Caie. This only misses
  32.   one older algorithm, but Stuart is working on that problem.
  33. - Added new version of xadUnFile and xadUnDisk.
  34. - Added DImp client by Stuart Caie.
  35. - Added Ar client by Stuart Caie. Stuart made really lots of new clients.
  36.   I'm waiting for other users doing the same. There are so much formats
  37.   out there. And you become registered user!
  38. - Updated Arc client supports archives with directories now.
  39. - Added input and output stream hooks
  40. - Added xadGetHookAccess() and xadFreeHookAccess().
  41. - Removed entry sorting for filesystem clients to unify interfaces and for
  42.   speed reasons on large harddisk images.
